KCHIP is the Kentucky Children's Health Insurance Program. It provides health insurance with little or no cost for children who are uninsured. Immunizations, well child check-ups, and other preventive services are provided through the KCHIP service. Eligibility requirements are based on age and the family income. Children from birth up until their 19th birthday from low income families are eligible. The family's income can be and up to 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL).
